i live about forty miles from London in a place called Basingstoke, Hampshire. I have published some seven collections of poetry and have about a thousand poems floating around the web. But more important to me is if someone I don't know were to send me an email telling me they were moved by my work.
I want to walk the streets again and find love
love in the cracks of the pavement
love in strangers' eyes
love in homeless eyes of blue —
I want to love again the man I once was
the man every day I get further from —
Mad As Hell
I love these stormy nights
when you think the world is ready to die.
Angry clouds and winds tell you
I am not happy.
Something is wrong.
It shows me that even the world
gets mad like me—
mad as hell
I fell in love with a girl
I met in a dream last night.
Even though she doesn't exist
this is the purest love I've ever known.
A symbol maybe
that life changes like the stages of a butterfly.
One part ends and another begins.
The last time I saw her
she didn't speak to me
but she looked back
as she walked away.
All I need to do now
is go and find her.
Since she wants to be found
even if she doesn't exist in this world
I will look and even ask too.
And just maybe
I will find her.
